EDU 696 Research Study

This page leads you to my personal research study. I performed a research study on the benefits to using personal digital devices in my art classroom. Here is the introduction paragraph:

“Technology is becoming more powerful and more affordable and it seems virtually all students have a device in their possession. In a recent Malaysian study of boys and girls aged 13-17, the majority of them indicated that they have at least two mobile devices.  All of them claimed that they had the opportunity to use mobile devices in learning, and half of them claimed to use them to search for information of personal interest or hobbies. (Kee, Samsudin)  There is no question that mobile devices are becoming a bigger part of teenagers lives.  The issue at hand is not their existence and usage by the students, but instead, the policies and issues related to using them in class. What are the pros and cons? Should these devices be banned from a classroom or embraced?”

The study demonstrated a strong improvement in the completion rates of daily journal assignments. You can begin reviewing the study with The Table of Contents.
